Bio
I am Ankit Koirala, originally from Nepal, with a focus on forestry, agriculture, economics, and policy. Growing up in a rural farming family, I developed a deep connection to agro-forestry, which inspired me to pursue advanced studies at the intersection of applied economics, policy, and forest management. Over the years, I have gained significant experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising research, and contributing to policy-focused projects aimed at enhancing rural livelihoods and promoting sustainable development. Currently, I am a graduate student at the College of Forestry, Oregon State University, where my research explores the confluence of economics, forest management, and policy. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing basketball, watching soccer, and spending quality time with my family in Corvallis.
