Cathleen conducts the experiments to develop efficient and reliable regeneration and transformation systems and protocols to genetically engineer poplar, sweetgum, and eucalypt trees. She oversees transformation using Agrobacterium for all projects and is in charge of greenhouse evaluation of transgenic poplar and eucalyptus.
